Yesterday the Perch action was tough, even though
they were there. Tullibees were biting if you moved west of the
"Tree". Today it started raining by 10:00a.m. and now the entire
lake is pretty much slush and water except for the road banks.
My main roads are in good shape with little water on them, except by
the side where the main bank is. Down in front there is 2-4
inches of water in spots, but the ice is good. My only concern
is if the wind would start to blow strong from any direction with
all the water on the ice, it could make some pretty deep water spots
as it gets trapped by road banks If there is no wind there
will be no problem. You just need to bring waterproof boots.
If you bring a 4wd vehicle there will be no problems at all.
There is a lot of ice out there yet. I would recommend calling
us the night before you come to get the latest info.
I've had a challenge from my daughter this week.
Today and tomorrow I'm watching my 3-year old granddaughter, Isabel.
Cindy went to Arizona with a high school girlfriend of hers
for a week or so. So I'm holding down the fort, and
babysitting Isabel. We're having a blast. So
far.........
I want to thank all of our customers, privates,
portable,
and rental people for patronizing us this year. Cindy and I really
appreciate it. I hope we you were happy with the services we
provided. We will be keeping roads out for Tullibees and
Perch as long as the ice is safe enough to drive on, and I will be
updating this report regularly as the season winds down.
For those interested in attending the "Block
Party"-- ( It is a yearly event that we've had for almost 20 years.
We go out on the ice and make sure everything from house
blocks to any type of debris that shouldn't be on the ice is picked
up in our areas and others if needed). It looks like it's going to
be March 20th if this warm weather keeps up. I'll let you know. Call
us so we can plan food.
Keep a tight line!!!
